Presentation, history, and archives of these Questions & Answers (Q&A) Forum

My enthusiasm and the same motivation of my partner in this project, Ester Foelkel, PhD, for the Eucalyptus, the pines, the planted forests and the pulp and paper forest-based industry have always been enormous.

At that same time, my teaching vocation was needed to continue to be exercised, also in other ways, especially virtually, from the timing of creation of the website https://www.celso-foelkel.com.br, in 2002. So, for this purpose, and in July 2004, we created the Ask the Euca X-Pert section on the website of our partner ABTCP – Brazilian Technical Association of Pulp and Paper. Its objective was to provide information and answers to the concerns and questions arising from society. The first questions arrived and soon this forum became widely visited and it was converted into a kind of source of technical updates and technological chats about the Eucalyptus, Pinus, and related things.

When I created my second website (https://www.eucalyptus.com.br), in 2005, the forum was transferred to it, mainly due to the fragility of the online tool that had been provided by ABTCP, as we suffered a hacker attack that made us to lose 380 answered questions, later partially recovered and inserted in this web section.
And life continued well until 2016.

Sadly, we decided to discontinue the forum because we no longer had enough time to devote to it, given all the other projects that were demanding our attention. And, because the questions coming were so many, that we no longer had possibilities to dedicate ourselves to them, , since we had commitments to the Eucalyptus Online Book & Newsletter and PinusLetter chapters and newsletters, as well as consulting activities and courses.
